Flynne's Coffee Bar
Flynne's Coffee Bar came into existence September 1, 2006 when
Flynne Meares purchased what was Frankie's Coffee Station from
Frankie Anderson. The coffee bar is located at 143 NE Broad Street in
downtown Southern Pines, NC and serves locals and tourists alike.
Flynne has changed the decor to include gallery space for local artists,
added brewed coffee and brought a musical element to the shop. Flynne
brings her guitar in to play when it's slow, and quite a few musicians
pop in to play a few tunes regularly. One customer thought the shop had
an "art party" feel when she walked in to live music and a local artist
sketching. Markers, drawing paper and an acoustic guitar are always at
the ready to satisfy creative urges. In addition to the new Flynne's Blend
of Brewed Coffee, the shop serves fine Espresso and Espresso based
drinks such as Cappuccinos, Lattes, Mochas, Breves, Americanos and
Screamers. All drinks can be made hot, iced or decaf. Rich, creamy Hot
Chocolates and Steamers offer a warm treat for non coffee drinkers.
Frappucinos, Iced Coffee, Italian Sodas, Cream Sodas, California
Dreams and eventually Smoothies offer cool refreshment on warm days.
Bistro tables on the sidewalk and an alleyway Coffee Garden provides
outdoor seating in addition to the indoor tables. Fresh Bagel's, Fine
Chocolate, Locally-made Biscotti, and other fresh baked goods go nicely
with the Coffee and other drinks. Pop in for a treat and meet some of
the locals next time you're in downtown Southern Pines.
